Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Karpentito ("the app"), a cabinet-design and cut-planning tool published by Master's Inc. By accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Use of the app

Karpentito helps you design cabinets, plan sheet-cutting layouts, and estimate materials and costs. You may use the app for your own personal or business woodworking and design purposes. You agree to use the app lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its underlying services.

2. Accounts and sign-in

Signing in requires a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your sign-in. You must not use another person's account without permission.

3. Your data

You retain ownership of the designs, projects, settings, and other content you create with the app ("Your Content"). Your account settings and projects are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and in your browser, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups where important.

4. Public share links

When you create a share link, you instruct Karpentito to store a snapshot of the selected design and make it available to anyone who has that link. Recipients can view the sections you selected without signing in, and may copy or forward the link. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the included designs, images, prices, and other information. Do not include confidential or personal information in a public share.

You can update or revoke a share from the Share dialog. Updating a link replaces the snapshot available at that link; revoking it disables access through Karpentito. Revocation cannot retract copies that recipients already downloaded, captured, or otherwise retained.

5. Estimates and design output

Cut plans, material estimates, cost calculations, and quotations produced by the app are provided as guidance only. They depend on the settings, prices, and measurements you enter. You are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, quantities, prices, and results before purchasing materials, cutting stock, or relying on any output for manufacturing or commercial purposes. The app is a planning aid, not a substitute for professional judgment.

6. Intellectual property

The app, including its software, design, logos, and branding, is owned by Master's Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy, modify, or distribute the app except as expressly permitted.

7. Third-party services

The app uses Google Sign-In for account authentication, Google Cloud Firestore for cloud data, and Microsoft Azure to host its API. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We aim to keep the app available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that its output will be accurate or reliable for any particular use.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Master's Inc. and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, materials, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the app — including losses resulting from reliance on estimates, cut plans, or other output.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and revoke its access to your Google account. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
