Privacy Policy

Karpentito ("the app", "we", "us") is a cabinet-design and cut-planning tool published by Master's Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Karpentito uses Google Sign-In to identify your account. Your settings, projects, and any shared design snapshots are stored by the app in Google Cloud Firestore; a working copy is also kept in your browser.

Information we access

When you sign in with Google, we process the following information:

Basic profile (name, email address, and profile picture) — used only to display who is signed in and to identify your account within the app.
Your Karpentito content — settings, saved projects, material presets and references to their images, used to sync your account across devices.

How we use the information

To authenticate you and show your account details in the app.
To save and restore your Karpentito settings, projects, and material presets through Google Cloud Firestore.
To store and deliver shared design snapshots and material images requested by a share link.
To keep your data synced automatically when you make changes.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and we do not sell it. We use Google for sign-in, Google Cloud Firestore for cloud data, and Microsoft Azure to host the app's API. Content is disclosed to other people only when you create and share a public link or when needed to operate these services.

Where your data is stored

Google Cloud Firestore: Your account's settings and projects are stored in records associated with your Google account ID. Share snapshots and material images are stored separately; identical images are reused.
Your device: A local copy of your settings and projects is kept in your browser's local storage, and fetched material images may be cached by the browser. Your Google access token is held in memory; a refresh token is stored in a secure, HttpOnly cookie on the API domain.
Shared links: A share snapshot is available to anyone who has its link. The link contains a random ID, while the design data stays in Google Cloud Firestore. The snapshot includes only the sections you selected and the material references needed to render it.

Public share links

Creating a share link makes that design snapshot public to anyone who obtains the link. Recipients do not need to sign in and may copy or forward the link. You can update a share or revoke it in the Share dialog; a revoked link can no longer retrieve its snapshot through the app. Do not share confidential or personal information in a design you make public. Material images are served by an opaque image URL so shared designs can display them on other devices.

Data retention and deletion

You can manage your data in these ways:

Delete saved projects or settings in the app; those changes sync to your Firestore account snapshot.
Revoke active share links in the Share dialog. Revocation prevents public retrieval of that share.
Sign out to clear this browser's local account data. Sign-out alone does not delete the cloud copy.
To request deletion of your server-side account data, contact us using the address below.

Material images may be shared by identical content across presets or share links. Removing a preset or revoking a share does not necessarily remove an image file that is still referenced elsewhere.

Google API Services — Limited Use

Karpentito's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google profile data only to authenticate you, identify your account, and display your profile in the app. We do not use it for advertising or transfer it except as necessary to provide the app, as required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice.

Security

Communication between your browser and Karpentito's API uses HTTPS. Access to private account snapshots and share management requires a valid Google sign-in token. Public share snapshots and material images can be retrieved by their link or opaque ID. Keep share links private if you do not want others to view the design. We recommend securing your Google account with a strong password and two-step verification.

Children's privacy

Karpentito is a professional design tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
